One of the key approaches we have at Morley Newlands Academy is for all colleagues to seek out small, incremental and continuous improvements in their own work as a professional. This is even more important when the work of our professionals in already very good, excellent, outstanding or exceptional as this dedicated and humble approach to developing as a professional is critical to ensure that we continue to be in the vanguard of educational developments.

All colleague at Morley Newlands Academy have full access to the NPQs on offer at the Leeds Teaching School Hub (LTSH) which now delivers a full suite of National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) in partnership with Teach First, as well as the bespoke additional training offered by LTSH.

Our dedicated CPD days which take place during the academic year are always tailored as closely as possible to the overarching needs of the academy as well as the training and development needs of colleagues.

We strongly encourage all colleagues to make additional training requests throughout the year through line management should they find courses that they feel would benefit them as a professional and contribute positively to the overall work of the academy.

Our CPD offer to all colleagues will continue to develop and respond to the training and development needs of colleagues to ensure that we continue to deliver an exceptional educational experience for all students who attend the academy.
