Here at Morley Newlands Academy we take our approach to staff wellbeing and welfare seriously. We recognise that, from time to time, the needs of each individual member of staff will be different depending on work, personal circumstances and other external factors. Whilst many of the challenges and circumstances that colleagues may face can be handled and addressed by themselves, we also recognise that it is important that colleagues have access to the right support should they need it.
In order to achieve our aim to create a culture where all colleagues are valued, respected, supported, challenged and developed we have invested in a range of support mechanisms that colleagues access should they need to. This starts with all members of the Senior Leadership Team who are available to provide support to all colleagues.
As a trust, we also provide all colleagues with access to our Employee Assistance Programme through VIVUP. This service provides all colleagues with support with any pressures they may be facing at work or at home. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and can be accessed through their website www.vivup.tercltd.co.uk or via telephone at 0330800658. As part of our Employee Assistance Programme we are also able to refer members of staff to an independent and impartial counselling provision.
We are also fortunate to be in a long-standing working relationship with Place2Be who provide a range of support and counselling services to both our students and staff. Place2Think is our provision available for colleagues to access independent and impartial support. Should you wish to explore this further, please contact Sharon Apperley our School Project Manager.
You will also see below a whole host of support services which are available for colleagues to access on their own should you need to do so. We hope that through providing colleagues with guidance as to the support services available that you feel confident to explore these.
