Pupil voice is heard primarily through the school council and our Head pupils.

School council elections are held at the beginning of the autumn term with two pupils being elected from each class (Years 2 – 6). Pupils within each class vote for candidates they think will be most suitable for the role.

Our school council meet regularly to discuss and develop their own roles in school. Tasks such as lunchtime buddies, signposting pupils to support in school, sharing pupil voice, gathering opinions and ideas, peer coaching, and showing visitors and new pupils around school are some of the roles taken on by these pupils. They feed into planning and decisions regarding the whole school.

Other pupils also have specific responsibilities in school such as acting as play leaders, corridor champions and class responsibilities.
